I know I shouldn't really be celebrating Halloween because I'm an Aussie dog but today is also my human cousins birthday so we are having like a b'day/halloween party tonight.

I'm dressed as a devil, hmm I wonder why.

I sometimes get very vicious when I'm playing with my stuffed toys. Here is a very short video mum took.

I'm killing my stuffie first so then I can destuff it without hurting it. Considerate aren't I!

No Go At The Hobart Show

This entry was supposed to be titled "Gizmo goes to the Hobart Show" however my mum, doing the right thing, emailed them first to see if dogs were allowed and was told NO they're not, not even in a bag unless they are an entry into the dog section.

Kinda stupid really seeing how the Hobart Show has all different kinds of animals there and showdogs are allowed for a $67 full membership fee & $15 extra fee per dog. Yet me, Gizmo, who isn't good enough to be a showdog and who would be confined in a carry bag or in my mothers arms only, was not allowed.

The email my mum got as a reply didn't even say "Sorry! no dogs allowed."

So there will be no Gizmo watching the lovely showdogs strutting their stuff for the judges.
No Gizmo watching the pretty showhorses prancing around on parade.
No Gizmo watching the human fashion show.
No Gizmo riding on the dodgem cars (I was really looking forward to that one too)
No Gizmo getting to play the game where you put the balls in the clowns mouth & win yourself a stuffie.
No No No Gizmo at the Show today.

Of course my mum could of snuck me in inside her bag but where's the fun in that? Being stuck inside a black bag, on a beautiful, sunny day for hours!


My mum is really starting to get very angry at the amount of places that are "no dogs allowed" I mean as we pups all know, we are better behaved then most human children are and our masters are very responsible pet owners who keep us doggies well behaved and on a leash. Plus they pick up our poop too.

If celebrities like Paris Hilton can buy their pooch into places where dogs aren't normally allowed. And if seeing eye dogs have to be allowed in to everywhere then I think there should be a special permit that responsible pet owners can get. Thus allowing us little dogs into all outdoor areas and some indoor areas as long as we're fully vaccinated, confined, well trained and/or on a leash.

New toy - By Gizmo

I got a new toy yesterday. A toy chicken and it's as big as me. I love it because it squeaks too.


Don't panic everyone, it's not my human cousin Meaghan. She didn't turn into a chicken yet, thank dog!

My mummy is going to buy me a frame for my new certificate so then I can hang it up somewhere.

My weekend - By Gizmo

Well I had a pawsome weekend.
The weather was wonderful and warm so I spent alot of time outside. The only part I hated was when mum left me inside while she went and rode Boaz. But apart from that it was great.

Look what mum found on the side of the road, an echidna.


I wanted to go over and play with it but it sensed me coming and turned into a spiky ball so mum wouldn't let me near it then.

I hope everybody else had a great weekend.
I better go and hide now because I think mum is going to give me the 'B' word (BATH)

Chicken pox? - By Gizmo

I just found out that my human cousin Meaghan has Chicken Pox. How can that be, she's not a chicken! Oh no... does that mean she's going to turn into a chicken?

She was born on Halloween 6yrs ago so anything is possible.

I think I better keep a close eye on her. Thankfully my mum is babysitting her why she's home from school so I won't take my eyes off her for a moment and lets all keep our paws crossed she doesn't turn into a chicken.

Treats - By Gizmo

Well Mummy made up for the grumpiness and lack of attention towards me yesterday by taking me to the New Pet Store that recently opened down at Cambridge and letting me pick out my very own treats.

I didn't get to walk into the pet store on my own because that might not of been allowed. I was in my carry bag and Mummy walked us into the treat section where they have tonnes of different kinds of treats and you can make up your own lil doggy bag.
Mummy let me sniff all the different kinds of treats on offer and though it was a very hard decision I finally decided on the ones I wanted (The most expensive of course)









Hey I'm famous now so only the best and most expensive for me from now on.

Mummy is Grumpy - By Gizmo

Mummy is in a bad mood today. She is rushing around the house like a mad woman cleaning and when I take Sweep over to her, as a hint for her to chill out and play with me, she gets really mad and yells at me.

I know she doesn't mean to, she's just stressed because her Grandma is in the hospital right now having a colonoscopy because they're worried she might have bowel cancer And my mum is busy cleaning to take her mind off of it.

Humans often get very stressed don't they! Maybe I should go snuggle with her to let her know it'll all be ok.


**UPDATE**

I think the paw crossing helped. Grandma is gonna be fine. She doesn't have cancer.
WOOHOO.

Vacuuming - By Gizmo

Mummy's got that loud machine she calls "Vacuum" out again. Grrr, I really hate it!
Make sure you turn your sound on so you can really hear me telling it off.

New Sweeps - By Gizmo

Well Mummy has hidden Sweep somewhere so until I find him I guess I'll just have to play with the new ones I've decided to name Sweep Blue and Sweep Red.

They're not as bad as I first thought.

Oh and if you're wondering why I named them all Sweep, it's because I named them after my favorite character from the Sooty Show because that's who they sound like.

Sweep - By Gizmo

There's something terribly wrong with my ball Sweep. When I squeeze him now he takes a really long time to return to his original shape and he makes a strange noise, not his usual squeaky self.
This all started after he landed in my water bowl, the other night, and I spent ages trying to save him from drowning.
I hope Sweep gets better soon because he's my favorite toy.

Mummy went out and bought me some different colored balls that are like him but they're not. They don't even smell like my Sweep so I won't play with them. Mummy says that I'm just being silly. You guys understand though don't you!

Mummy is feeling better now. She said the headache is still there but it's not as bad so she doesn't need to stay in bed anymore.

Mummy sick - By Gizmo

I didn't get to do much yesterday. Mummy had something that was called a "migraine" which is a really great, big pain in the head. She spent most of the day in bed so I spent most of my day curled up beside her.

Poor mummy gets these pains in the head alot, especially at this time of year (Spring) Sometimes they can last for days.
I wish when I kissed her forehead the pain would go away forever!
