You see today is my mums birthday and I am helping her to celebrate it by looking my best.

I've decided that I like Mouse. I didn't think I would with a name like that but it turns out she is nothing like a mouse at all. In fact she's kinda like me.
She is quite small for a horse, just like I am quite small for a dog.
She loves to lick people just like I love to lick people.
She likes to be cuddled and petted just like I love to be cuddled and petted.
She loves to run around and be silly sometimes just like I love to run around and be silly.
She absolutely loves to eat just like I absolutely love to eat.

Yep I think MM and I are gonna be great friends.

Boaz gets a friend

Poor Boaz has been awful lonely since his pony friends next door moved away so my mum has been very busy these past 2 weeks trying to find him a lil friend.
And today he got one...

Mouse is an 11yr old shetland pony my mum adopted from the RSPCA.
She is very loving and friendly and we hope her and Boaz have a long and happy friendship together.

Also Goodbye to Meg and Eddy from next door. You are sorely missed.

Where are we going mum? I hope it's to the dog park, I'm in the mood for socializing.

This isn't the dog park but alot of dogs have passed through here recently, I can smell them. Where are we?

Oh I don't like the looks of this at all.

Ouch that hurt, why'd you do that for?
What did I do to deserve this?

Last week I went to the V E T (Very Excruciating Torture place)

They stuck a cold, hard thing up my bottom and left it there for ages. Then they stuck their fingers in my mouth and placed a cold silver thing on my chest.
Last of all, the most awful and painful of all, they stuck a needle in my neck and injected me with poison.

I was shaking like a leaf the whole time. What did I do to deserve all that?
Was it because I chased the cat again?
I'm sorry but he was asking for it, he always does.

I think I'm in love

My mum recently got the dvd 'Beverly hills chihuahua' and we have watched it together 5 times now.
I cannot seem to take my eyes away from the screen when I see Chloe/Angel and my mum says that I am in love.

As I have never experienced this thing "love" with anything other than my mum or my ball before, I was wondering whether it is normal? Or whether any of you have ever felt this same way over some dog you've never even met?

Please help me. I'm starting to wish that I lived in Beverly Hills, Yikes.

Nautica But Nice

My mum went on a holiday without me? Whaaatt! I don't believe it, how could she?
Though in all fairness she did ask the place where she was staying if she could take me and they said only if I stayed in a crate outside. Seeing how it's winter here now and I am an indoor only short-hair chihuahua mum thought it'd be better for me to stay at home.
I however tend to disagree with her but anyway this is where she went.

A peaceful little place called 'Coles Bay' on Tasmania's East Coast

And this is where she stayed in a beautiful & cosy little unit called 'Nautica but Nice'
She did some sight-seeing and some bush-walking.
Then on the way home there was lots of snow so it was probably a good thing that I didn't go afterall.

52 hours

My mum left me at home for 52 hours straight. I can't believe it, she has never done anything like this before. The longest she has EVER left me at home for is 4 hours.
Luckily my Nanny minded me so I wasn't alone but that's not the point.
One minute we were happily playing ball together, the next minute, I turned around and she was gone.
Where did she go?

1 year ago today is the day that my mum and I found each other.
For those of you who never read that story, it's on my sidebar to the right.

I have had a wonderful last 12 months with my mum. Not only has she spoiled me rotten by buying me lots of clothes and toys but she also made me this blog which helped me to find all of you guys.
You are all very dear to me and I could never have wished for a better life or better friends than I have now.

Winter has arrived

Today is technically the 1st day of winter here so normally I would be very depressed and I would of been if not for this beautiful and glorious sight right outside our front door this morning.

This picture was taken from our front porch. The water you see is called 'The Derwent River' and the mountain where the rainbow starts in front of is called 'Mt Wellington.'
Mt Wellington is our main mountain here in Tasmania so is generally referred to as just 'The Mountain'. It rises to 1271 m AHD over the city and is often incorrectly considered to be a dormant volcano.

Goodness has it been a month?

So sorry everybody. My mum has been so busy this past month she didn't even realise we were gone for so long. You must of all been wondering what happened to us?

Hello Cocky

When my mum went to visit her Grandma over Easter, she took me along and introduced me to a very weird creature who has been in her family for a very long time.

This is Cocky an Australian Cockatoo. He is 52 human years old and is really funny. He talks just like a human so I couldn't understand a word he was saying but I think he was in a bad mood. He kept screeching and throwing his head up and down alot so I didn't stay by his cage for long.

Anyway I hope all of you had a lovely weekend. Mine was busy but yet rather relaxing as always. I'll stop by all your blogs soon.

Boaz destroyed his mid-season rug last week so mum had to rush out, on the weekend, and get him another one.
Geez and I thought I was spoiled.

This was Boaz, last year, in his then brand new mid-season rug.

This is the big tear he managed to put in it, in only one day too I might add, thereby destroying it after only wearing it for 1 autumn and 1 spring last year.

And this is Boaz in his brand new rug which my mum hopes will last him a lot longer than his last one did.
It should seeing how it cost twice as much.

We had no internet connection for a whole week so I missed out on True Colors Thursday. Probably a good thing though seeing how beige was a very hard color to find. I look forward to bright red this Thursday though.

Handsome Snowy and Beautiful Crystal gave me 2 very pretty awards before I went away.

The Rose award is extra special because Snowy and his Mum made it themselves. Aren't they just sooo clever.

Watering Can Surprise

My mum went to water the garden on the weekend and found a surprise hiding in the watering can instead.
Can you guess what was inside there?
I'll give you a hint. It is slimy and loves water and dirt.

Mum and dad took it down to the dam and let it go free.

Such a shame really, I didn't even get a chance to sniff it.
Oh well, I hope it's happy now back with its family.

Mum was cleaning out the spare bedroom today and she found some old toys. I claimed one of them which was a small rooster and mum said I could keep it, Yay!

It even makes a rooster sound when you squeeze it.

True Colours Thursday - Violet

When mum told me to look for Violet coloured things this week, I panicked. I spent a lot of time wandering around the house not finding a single violet thing so I gave up.

Mum came in and said "Duh Gizmo, look at what you're sitting on and look what is behind you."

I knew those violet coloured things were there all along.

Also I found an old photo of Boaz in his winter coat, which he doesn't need to wear just yet.

Boaz's Treats

Over the weekend Boaz kept trying to come inside.
You wanna know why?
It was because he could smell this.
Boaz got a big bag of these things called apples from our Aunty Neesie. He also got a big bag of freshly picked grass from her as well.
Boaz hadn't seen such green grass in so long that he didn't know what it was at first.
He soon figured it out though.
Boaz says thank you very much Aunty Neesie.
Hmm I wonder whether there's anything in that goody bag for me?

First up is my Yellow lidded Toy Bin where all of my bad toys have to go.
Just kidding, it's where all of the toys I'm not playing with go so mum doesn't trip over them.

Next up is a very naughty toy indeed, my Yellow bumblebee.
I'm telling him to get back in the naughty bin.

This looks like a fun toy to play with but it's not.
It's my mums Yellow duster which makes me sneeze.

When looking around for blue this week, I must of saw at least 10 different things, in every room of my house.
What I also noticed was that there are so many shades of blue as well. So really I could show you about 1000 pictures of blue things in my house but decided to only show you blue things that belong to me personally.

First up is My Blue Bed that is right next to Mummy's bed and I sleep in it every night till about 4:30 when I wake up and get into bed with mum.

Bushfires

Hello my friends,
I know some of you are very concerned that the bushfires might be near me so I wanted to put your minds at ease and let you know that they're not but thank you all so, so much for your care and concern.

We are all very saddened here in Australia. Being such a small Country almost everybody knows somebody who lost their house or worse in what is being called "the worst bushfires Australia has ever seen."

Your thoughts, prayers and wishes are very much appreciated by all and we thank you from the bottom of our hearts.

My Lucky Day

Today was a very lucky day for me as I received 2 packages in the mail.
One was from Petitude that contained new clothes which I will be parading for you guys in upcoming weeks.
The other package contained a special car-seat just for me because I'm not allowed to sit in the front seat of my Grandma's new car because of it's airbags.

I absolutely love my new car-seat. Mum didn't think I would because I'm so used to sitting on her lap in the front seat so she was very surprised and happy.

I like my new seat because I'm up high and can see out of all the windows plus I feel safe and secure in my own little bed that's all mine. I can even lie down if I want to.

Coco who gave me this wonderful award is a fairly new friend of mine.
She is the smallest & cutest chihuahua I've ever seen. And she has a humongous heart and loads of personality for someone so small.
I am very lucky to have her as my friend And I hope we stay best friends forever!

10 things About Me

1. I'm very outgoing and will go to anybody, even people I don't know.

2. I get obsessed with my toys and treat them like they're living things.

3. I can't poop anywhere except in the privacy of my own backyard & then only when no one is watching.

4. I sometimes won't come when I'm called if I think I'm gonna be in trouble. Which is stupid because I only get in trouble if I don't come.

5. I know sit, stay and lay down but I'll only do them if I know I'm gonna get something out of it like a treat.

6. Sometimes I'm too smart for my own good and try and push the boundaries. Example of this is when I got taken on a walk by my mums nephew, who is 8 and because he was only small and didn't know how to walk me properly, I played up on him. Then when mum went to walk me later, I tried to play up again, on her, to see if I could get away with it.

7. I like putting on clothes because it means we're going out and I get lots of attention from it so sometimes, I go and grab my clothes and try to dress myself, as a hint to mum that I want to go out.

8. I have an igloo bed right next to mums bed but every night, at the same time (4:30am) I sneak into mums bed with her.

9. I like other dogs except when I'm in my mums arms. I will growl at them to back off when I'm in mums arms like I gotta protect her from them.

10. I play with my food and I eat my toys. I guess you could call me strange and hyperactive.

I had to look alot harder this week for orange coloured things than I had to last week for pink.

I didn't even realise, until now, that my favourite coat from Petitude is lined with the colour orange.

Today when we went up to feed Boaz there was a kookaburra sitting high up in a gum tree laughing at me. Can you spot him?

I don't know why the Kookaburra was laughing at me because I don't think I was doing anything overly hilarious. I was just laying down in the sun minding my own business.

Clearly my mum has too much time on her hands. Just look what she did to me.

She thinks this is funny to warp my photo so I look like an alien.

I'm not happy with my mum at all. On Saturday she left me at home while she went to a birthday party. I barked and howled for her to come back to get me but she didn't. She didn't return home till it was almost bedtime so I didn't get my usual playtime or cuddle time.
Then on Sunday afternoon she gave me a bath, I wasn't even dirty. Then she played around on the computer warping my photos. Grrr!
What did I do to deserve this?

It's a Blue Tongue Lizard and mum said it was almost as long as me.

It scurried away into the bushes when we got too close to it.

Last week I noticed my new friend Tibby playing this really fun game so I went over to the maker's blog Blue to ask if I could join in.

Windy Day

Boy it was windy here yesterday. I had to stay in the car while Mummy fed Boaz cause she was scared I'd get blow away.
We had wind gusts of 157kph (98 miles) and over 25,000 people lost power (we were one of them) because 20 Hydro poles fell down.
Thank Dog no idiots decided to light a fire near us cause otherwise it would of been very, very bad.

Magpie

I hate birds but my mum loves them so she won't let me chase them.

This is a pic mum took of a Magpie. There are about 12 of them in Boaz's paddock at the moment. They are really noisy.
This is what they sound like. Mum says she loves the call of a Magpie.

Yesterday a little black & grey bird fell down our flu and got stuck in the fireplace. Mummy shut me in another room while she tried to get the bird out.
It flew around the loungeroom for about 10 minutes until it wore itself out and mum was able to pick it up and take it outside to let it go.
I wish I could of helped her to catch the bird. I wouldn't of killed it I swear!

Sun Shades

I think Boaz is supposed to look like a giant fly in order to scare all the small, pesky flies away. If that's the case it doesn't work very well. I scare more flies away just by opening up my mouth.

I hate Tassie weather

After a few days of warm - hot weather, 33 (92) on Tuesday and 26 (79) on wednesday, it is now back down to only 12 (54) degrees on Friday. Grrrr!
Mum had to put clothes on me because I was shivering. I've lost my winter coat for summer so now I have nothing to keep me warm but my clothes from petitude and blankets.

Tasmanian weather is spastic. It can go from hot and sunny to cold and cloudy in less than a day.
It has always been this way but I just can't seem to get used to it.
We can't put the heater on because it is forecast to be hot again on Sunday and then the house will be too hot and we'll have to run the AC flat out to get it back down again.
No wonder people get sick. The weather is up and down like a yo yo.

Off leash...finally

Over the weekend Mummy decided that I was well behaved enough to be allowed to go off leash.
I was a bit confused at first but soon got the hang of it.
I had so much fun playing with Sweep outdoors because I had further to run to catch him as you can see in the pics and video below.

It's very tiring though doing all that running because I am only small.

On Saturday I went on an extremely long drive with mum and dad to get 50 bales of grass hay for Boaz. It was a 90 minute drive each way to some place called Ellendale and then it took a long time for mum and dad to load and unload the hay as well.
I slept for most of it but I wanted to tell you all that I am very upset with Boaz who doesn't seem the least bit grateful to us for getting him new hay. In fact he doesn't even seem to like his new hay at all because he got so spoilt on lucerne for a month when mum ran out of grass hay.
This new hay cost my mum alot of money and it also cost me a great chunk out of my schelduled playtime so you'd think he'd show at least some gratitude.
I don't know...Horses!

The only good news is that this new hay is lasting Boaz all day long now because he is not gutsing it all in 1 hour like he does lucerne. That's gotta be better for his digestion.

Mum is depressed

My mummy is very sad today. My daddy hired people to drill a hole in Boaz's paddock in the hopes of finding water. We are in a serious drought down here in Tassie and poor Boaz hasn't had any fresh grass in ages. He goes through 2 bales of lucerne hay a week, approx 100 bales a year. Now I'm no good at maths but at $12 per bale, mummy says it costs her $1200 a year just on lucerne hay and that's not including grass hay at $8 a bale, chaff at $38 a bag & pellets at $25 a bag.

Daddy was hoping to find water in a boar so then they could have sprinklers and grow Boaz some grass. Not to mention also water so they can have showers and do laundry & give me baths too.
The drilling company charge $145 per metre they have to drill and today they drilled down 70 metres and still did not find any water so my daddy lost alot of money with nothing to show for it but a big old hole.
The water diviner daddy hired to come out and tell him where to drill said they'd strike water between 52 and 64 metres down. He charged $200 to give us this information (95% success rate) and he was wrong.

I'm glad I'm not a human. Life sucks for them sometimes.

Anyway here is a pic of them drilling and my dad's redundancy money from Blundstones going down the toilet, or should I say hole.

Notice how low the dam is on the far right. Once upon a time, a long time ago, it used to be full.

I wonder where the silver lining could be?

New Year Surprise

Look what happened on New Years Eve.

Mum's fish had babies, tonnes of them.
They're very tiny so you may need to click on the photo to enlarge it in order to see them better.

They're Geophagus sp. Tapajos commonly known as Red head or Orange Head here in Australia. They grow to be about 10 inches long so we won't be able to keep them unfortunately.

'Tis the night before Christmas and all through the town,
Every shelter is full - we are lost but not found.
Our numbers are hung on our kennels so bare,
We hope every minute that someone will care.
They'll come to adopt us and give us the call,
"Come here, Max and Sparkie - come fetch your new ball!!

But now we sit here and think of the days,
We were treated so fondly - we had cute, baby ways.
Once we were little, then we grew and we grew -
Now we're no longer young and we're no longer new.

So out the back door we were thrown like the trash,
They reacted so quickly - why were they so rash?
We "jump on the children:, "don't come when they call",
We "bark when they leave us", climb over the wall.

We should have been neutered, we should have been spayed,
Now we suffer the consequence of the errors THEY made.
If only they'd trained us, if only we knew...
We'd have done what they asked us and worshiped them, too.
We were left in the backyard, or worse -let to roam-
Now we're tired and lonely and out of a home.

I got 2 new collars from Petitude, in my mums favorite colors and get this, they put my name on them in bling letters for free!

I am very happy with them because not only do I look fantastic but when I'm out and about people know my name just by looking at me. How's that for celebrity stardom!
They're also really handy if I become lost too because then the humans, who find me, can call me by my actual name and not a made up one like my mum had to do when she first found me.

I was tagged by Rambo to say something nice about the last 10 people/dogs to leave a comment on my blog. So here goes.

Starting with the very last person to leave a comment and working my way back we have...

1. Jackson & Patrick - They are new Chihuahua friends of mine who love to pose for the camera. They are really good at it too. Patrick recently ate the pinecones off their Christmas tree and got sick though. Silly boy.

2. Lorenza - Was one of the very first doggies to come to my blog and therefore is one of my oldest and dearest friends. She loves wearing clothes just like I do and has loads of spunk. I could fall in love with her. Too bad she lives such a long way away.

3. Noah - A fellow Aussie friend. Noah and his sisters Tess, Willow & Lucy are one of the biggest friends that I have. They are very happy dogs probably because they have such nice masters who spoil them.

4. Mango - My beautiful white Buddy who has been my friend for as long as I've been blogging. I sometimes call him my white Angel because he looks out for me even from the other side of the world. Mango, you're the best buddy a dog could have!

5. Tony - I found him through Rusty's blog when he was going around the world as Flat Tony. He is a top bloke who is a fellow Tasmanian like my mum so that makes him great. I hope I get to meet his dog Dixie one day. She looks like she could be fun to play chicken with.

6. Rambo - A Chihuahua like myself. He was once lost and then found, also like myself so that makes us kind of like brothers. Rambo was one of my very first friends on blogger also and that is why I think of him as a brother.

7. Huskee & Hershey - Huskee is a very cute, lovable and sweet dog. Hershey can be a bit naughty at times chewing on the furniture but he is still young and hopefully will grow out of it before destroying the whole house.

8. Rusty - The best squirrel chaser there is. If I ever see a squirrel I know just who to call. Rusty is so special to me. He sent me some yummy treats that got quarantined so I was not able to have them but it's the thought that counts. I think you're the best Rusty!

9. Tuffy - Our very own candidate for Presidency 2012 "Go Tuffy!"Tuffy is a fairly new friend of mine. She is also a Chihuahua like myself and I think she's just tops.

10. Pedro - I think of Pedro as a brother also. He was one of my very first friends on here and he looks so much like me that we could be twins.
He has a very loving family and is spoiled as well.
I love my twin Pedro!

I did not receive the special treat that I won on Rusty's blogoversary because our quarantine laws here wouldn't allow me to have it.

On a plus note though I will eat a whole lot better now knowing that the Australian Government thinks that I am so special that they quarantine all of my food and test it first so I won't get sick.

The Government sent me a very nice letter, it was addressed to me and everything. And even though I got scared at first thinking that they were writing to deport me, I now know that the Australian Government knows who I am and thinks that I am a very special pup indeed.

Thankyou to Rusty and his mum for the thought and the nice picture you sent along with it. They did allow me to have that so thanks. I woof you a Merry Christmas too.

Look mummy got an early Christmas present from daddy and it's a chihuahua on a motorbike.

I'm sooo jealous because I've always wanted to ride on one of those.

I saw thousands of bike riders last weekend because it was their annual Christmas Toy Run.
Every year bikers from around the State get together and ride from Launceston to Hobart collecting toys to bring down and give to kids in need.
Good on ya guys and girls, you rock!

I so wanted to go over and ask one of them if I could have a go on their bike but there was so many and it was so noisy I was too scared.
Oh well maybe next year.

He said on his tag to replace when worn so I don't know how long he will last before being taken away from me.
I didn't really like him at first because he is a bit heavy but mum squeaks him and then rolls him along the floor and I have to knock him off course and then bring him back to her to do it all over again so now he's one of my favourites.

Meet Toy Spike

The Echidna or Porcupine, not really sure.

Spike is also a "chew it" toy and so I'm trying to eat his spikes off, one at a time.

The Bumble Bee

I got new toys after I had my other ones thrown out for destroying them.
I'm going to introduce them all to you one by one.
First up is Buzz the bumble bee.

Our 6mth Anniversary

Today is the day, 6 months ago, when Gizmo and I found each other. And boy has that time flown by.
He has bought me so much joy and happiness. It feels as though we've always been together.

Yep food, food and more food.

Boaz got apples, carrots and a big salt block for his birthday.

Boaz's Life Story

Boaz was born in New Zealand on Nov 26th 1992
His mothers name was Joanna Bell also from New Zealand and his Father name was OK Bye from U.S.A.

Boaz's first 8yrs of his life was spent racing under the name of "Hydro Scooter". He won 19 races, 21 seconds, and 23 thirds. Approximately $59,000 prize money in those 8yrs of racing.

Boaz's last race was on the 19th Febuary 2000 and then he came to Australia on April 19th 2000.

He was sold and become a pleasure/trail riding horse after that.

My mum bought Boaz from a trail riding place in Leslie Vale on March 3rd 2007 (Yes the very day I was born. How's that for coincidence!)

Boaz's life now is spent lazing around, eating, playing in the mud, more eating and getting spoiled rotten.

Aaarggh, it's not fair. My chew toys were taken off me over the weekend and put in the rubbish bin.

First to go was my purple bone that I had started to de-stuff.

Second was my chicken, I nearly ate his beak off and mum was afraid I'd swallow it.

And lastly my green boomerang that I decided to chew a hole in just today.

All of them gone for good. Why Why Why!
Looks like I will have to go back to playing with my food even though it's wrong.

Why do they make dog toys that say you have to remove them if dogs start to eat them. Hello they're dogs, that's what they do.
How stupid is that!

Does anyone know of any toys that are safe if dogs start to eat them? I can't seem to find any.
And has anyone tried those latex type toys that are supposed to be bite proof?

I give Gizmo those rawhide treats to chew on but instead of chewing on them, he plays with them and his toys he's supposed to play with, he eats!

Dog Whisperer - By Gizmo

My mum's been watching the Dog Whisperer on T.V lately and now she's starting to learn some things that she's trying on me.

On today's episode there was a miniature pinscher who had an obsession with his ball. Yes that's right, he had the same problem as me.
The dog whisperer told the Pinschers owners that this was not a healthy obsession to have and that they had to break him of it so now my mum is doing the exact same thing to me and Sweep.

On a plus side, my ball is no longer kept up high, out of my reach. Instead my mum owns the ball on the ground now and I must lay down and be calm before she will throw it.
Once she throws it, I must wait calmly and patiently until she tells me that I'm allowed to go and get it.
If I get over excited or I don't obey then my mum gives me the claw grab with her hand till I calm down.

Sigh This training stuff is really hard.

Dogs Day Out In Hobart

I had a very busy, fun-filled day today.
I went to something called Dogs Day Out or Pets on the Domain.
It's an annual event hosted by the Hobart Dog Walking Association and Hobart City Council.
This was my very first time there and I had loads of fun.

I got to see and play with all different types of dogs.

I also entered a fancy dress competition to which I got 2nd place in the Category "Man about Town."
Not bad seeing how I was dressed 'casual' because I didn't know it was a black tie competition and most other competitors were wearing tuxedos.

After all it was a good day and I was very well behaved.
My mummy was a bit concerned how I'd be around all the other dogs but she need not of worried. I got on with everybody like a house on fire.

I am exhausted now and am going to have a very long nap.

Dear God: Let me give you a list of just some of the things, where I must remember to be a good Dog.

1. I will not eat the cats' food before they eat it or after they throw it up.

2. I will not roll on dead seagulls, fish, crabs, etc., just because I like the way they smell.

3. The Litter Box is not a cookie jar.

4. The sofa is not a 'face towel'.

5. The garbage collector is not stealing our stuff.

6. I will not play tug-of-war with Dad's underwear when he's on the toilet.

7. Sticking my nose into someone's crotch is an unacceptable way of saying 'hello'.

8. I don't need to suddenly stand straight up when I'm under the coffee table .

9. I must shake the rainwater out of my fur before entering the house - not after.

10. I will not come in from outside and immediately drag my butt.

11. I will not sit in the middle of the living room and lick my crotch.

12. The cat is not a 'squeaky toy' so when I play with him and he makes that noise, it's usually not a good thing.

I was left at home all day today while my mum went Christmas shopping and I am not very happy about it.
I was really excited about going too and I went and got in my carry bag.

Then mum told me that I couldn't go because I hurt her shoulders too much being carried around in my bag all day Hmmph!
She was gone for days too! Well not really days, but that's how long it seemed like to me and when she got home I went berserk.
How dare she not take me!

However, on a plus side, my mum did buy me a new T shirt to wear on Christmas Day. I will model it for you guys to see sometime this week.

Mummy has found a new game to play with me and Sweep. She puts Sweep inside one of her socks and I have to try and get him out.

Here I am on video again playing this new game.

It's not as much fun as Fetch and sometimes it takes me a very long time to rescue Sweep so I can get very frustrated. But when Mummy is too busy to play fetch with me it beats having Sweep get put away up high.

Agreeable and easy to get along with, Pisces dog is a great friend and confident although, he can be a very 'mucky-pup' with his disorganised attitude to life and cleanliness.

Not adverse to wandering off, the Pisces dog loves to roam wherever his heart takes him. Unfortunately for him, his head does not allow him to remember where he roamed from. Pisces dog is a sensitive soul with strong desires to be molly coddled and reassured constantly. Could be described as 'not the sharpest knife in the drawer' but full of love.

OMD this is sooo me, well most of it anyway.

I am full of life, fun, energy and playfulness and seeing how my mum found me twice after I ran away from my previous owners, then I guess you could say, I did roam wherever my heart took me. Thankfully for me it was to my new mummy and I'm very happy now and have not tried to run away since.

I do like to keep clean although I have a habit of leaving my toys and bones all over the place for humans to tread on plus my mum caught me rolling in a very smelly spot in the backyard and brought me straight in for a bath. I hate having baths, so I guess I am a mucky pup too.

I also love to be molly coddled and reassured constantly. This was especially true after I got my operation (neutured) I took a whole week to get over that. And sometimes now, if I hurt myself when playing, I will limp straight to my mum for cuddles and kisses to make me all better.

The only part I disagree with is the end part. "Not the sharpest knife in the drawer" That is sooo not true. Only my dad would think it was.

Aaroooo, Happy Halloween Everybody

Trick or Treat, smell my feet, give me something good to eat!

I know I shouldn't really be celebrating Halloween because I'm an Aussie dog but today is also my human cousins birthday so we are having like a b'day/halloween party tonight.

I'm dressed as a devil, hmm I wonder why.

I hope everybody has an awesome Halloween. And for all my U.S.A doggy pals out there, Save some candy for me ok?

No Go At The Hobart Show

This entry was supposed to be titled "Gizmo goes to the Hobart Show" however my mum, doing the right thing, emailed them first to see if dogs were allowed and was told NO they're not, not even in a bag unless they are an entry into the dog section.

Kinda stupid really seeing how the Hobart Show has all different kinds of animals there and showdogs are allowed for a $67 full membership fee & $15 extra fee per dog. Yet me, Gizmo, who isn't good enough to be a showdog and who would be confined in a carry bag or in my mothers arms only, was not allowed.

The email my mum got as a reply didn't even say "Sorry! no dogs allowed."

So there will be no Gizmo watching the lovely showdogs strutting their stuff for the judges.
No Gizmo watching the pretty showhorses prancing around on parade.
No Gizmo watching the human fashion show.
No Gizmo riding on the dodgem cars (I was really looking forward to that one too)
No Gizmo getting to play the game where you put the balls in the clowns mouth & win yourself a stuffie.
No No No Gizmo at the Show today.

Of course my mum could of snuck me in inside her bag but where's the fun in that? Being stuck inside a black bag, on a beautiful, sunny day for hours!

My mum is really starting to get very angry at the amount of places that are "no dogs allowed" I mean as we pups all know, we are better behaved then most human children are and our masters are very responsible pet owners who keep us doggies well behaved and on a leash. Plus they pick up our poop too.

If celebrities like Paris Hilton can buy their pooch into places where dogs aren't normally allowed. And if seeing eye dogs have to be allowed in to everywhere then I think there should be a special permit that responsible pet owners can get. Thus allowing us little dogs into all outdoor areas and some indoor areas as long as we're fully vaccinated, confined, well trained and/or on a leash.

What do you guys think?

I got a new toy yesterday. A toy chicken and it's as big as me. I love it because it squeaks too.

My mummy entered a photo of me on the Kong website. If you want to get a certificate too then just go here and send them a photo of you with your kong.

My mummy is going to buy me a frame for my new certificate so then I can hang it up somewhere.
I'll Probably hang it on my closet.

My weekend - By Gizmo

Well I had a pawsome weekend.
The weather was wonderful and warm so I spent alot of time outside. The only part I hated was when mum left me inside while she went and rode Boaz. But apart from that it was great.

Look what mum found on the side of the road, an echidna.

I wanted to go over and play with it but it sensed me coming and turned into a spiky ball so mum wouldn't let me near it then.

I hope everybody else had a great weekend.
I better go and hide now because I think mum is going to give me the 'B' word (BATH)

Chicken pox? - By Gizmo

I just found out that my human cousin Meaghan has Chicken Pox. How can that be, she's not a chicken! Oh no... does that mean she's going to turn into a chicken?

She was born on Halloween 6yrs ago so anything is possible.

I think I better keep a close eye on her. Thankfully my mum is babysitting her why she's home from school so I won't take my eyes off her for a moment and lets all keep our paws crossed she doesn't turn into a chicken.

Hugo tagged me. This is my very first one and I'm very excited. He tagged me to play 7x7.
What I have to do is give 7 answers to 7 questions. Hmm I hope it's not gonna be too hard.

7 things I plan to do before I die

1. Play with Sweep all day long.

2. Become a T.V star.

3. Get a girlfriend.

4. Be able to run around freely off leash.

5. Be able to fight whatever dog I want.

6. Be allowed to chase the cat. (he doesn't like me)

1. I can't get to run off and visit my friends when I want.

Well Mummy made up for the grumpiness and lack of attention towards me yesterday by taking me to the New Pet Store that recently opened down at Cambridge and letting me pick out my very own treats.

I didn't get to walk into the pet store on my own because that might not of been allowed. I was in my carry bag and Mummy walked us into the treat section where they have tonnes of different kinds of treats and you can make up your own lil doggy bag.
Mummy let me sniff all the different kinds of treats on offer and though it was a very hard decision I finally decided on the ones I wanted (The most expensive of course)

Hey I'm famous now so only the best and most expensive for me from now on.

Mummy is Grumpy - By Gizmo

Mummy is in a bad mood today. She is rushing around the house like a mad woman cleaning and when I take Sweep over to her, as a hint for her to chill out and play with me, she gets really mad and yells at me.

I know she doesn't mean to, she's just stressed because her Grandma is in the hospital right now having a colonoscopy because they're worried she might have bowel cancer And my mum is busy cleaning to take her mind off of it.

Humans often get very stressed don't they! Maybe I should go snuggle with her to let her know it'll all be ok.

**UPDATE**

I think the paw crossing helped. Grandma is gonna be fine. She doesn't have cancer.
