Lil furry things - By Gizmo

Over the weekend I went up to visit with my cousin Louise. Here is a picture of her, she's a 5yr old Lowchen.

While I was up there visiting with her look what we found.



There were 4 of these lil furry things living under the shed in her backyard that the humans caught and decided to keep.
I thought they smelled really good, especially the lil brown one but mummy wouldn't let me down to play with it. What did she think I'd do, eat it!

I felt kinda sorry for Louise at first having to put up with these smelly things but then Louise went up and started mothering them so I was happy for her.
I can't wait to go up there and visit them again now. I mean it's not very often I find something that's smaller than me.

I overheard mummy say that two of them were guinea pigs. Hmm I wonder if they're any relation to Boaz?

Bad Breakfast - By Gizmo

I ate my breakfast this morning and it didn't quite taste the same.
I gutzed it down real fast because it was my favorite (gourmet beef & gravy) and it wasn't until afterward that I realised mummy had put that dreadful worming tablet in there.
Yuck
Sneaky Mummy, she tricked me! She knows I hate worm tablets. She even tried to give me the chocolate coated ones once but I wasn't gonna fall for it and now this.
How can I ever enjoy my food again, knowing that I could be tricked at any time?

Watermelon - By Gizmo

Mummy gave me my first taste of watermelon today. I'm not too sure whether I like it or not but I will try anything that mummy eats.

I know, I know, it's bigger than me.

Boaz "the pig horse" - By Gizmo

I finally worked out today why mummy calls Boaz "The pig horse"
We went up to feed him today and he was covered in mud. Mummy got really mad at him because he had put another tear in his new rug.
He definitely doesn't look after his clothes like I do mine.

Anyway back to why Boaz is called "The Pig Horse"
Boaz loves to roll around in mud like pigs do, plus he eats like a pig too. In fact he never stops eating! Mummy gives him his whole days worth of hay everyday and he eats it all in like 1 hour.
The vet told us that he won't overeat and that he'll stop when he feels full but Boaz doesn't. He has to be put in smaller paddocks because he just continues to eat and eat and eat until all the grass is gone.

I don't know what Boaz finds so exciting about his food. I mean look at it, it's dried up old grass, Yuck!

The only thing I can find special about Boaz's food is that it's fun to play on.

My new bed - By Gizmo

Yay!
My beautiful new bed from Petitude arrived today. I'm so happy and can't wait to go to bed tonight to sleep in it. I might even stay in it all night and not sneak into mummies bed like I usually do.


It's so soft, warm and snug. I'm spoiled aren't I?

Well I did it, I played in the mud. Mum didn't even get mad or growl at me. No, she just took me straight home and gave me a bath instead.

Bed Socks - By Gizmo

Now that mummy has her new quilt on the bed she says she doesn't want my smelly feet on there so she makes me wear bed socks.

I actually don't mind wearing them and I recommend them to all indoor doggies like me because they keep your feet nice and warm. Plus they have a cool tread pattern on the bottom so you can't slip over if you run around the house, like a maniac, like I sometimes do.

Petitude sells them as a lucky dip but you can request a color you don't want. Like my mummy asked for no plain pink ones because I am a boy, and even tho a girl can wear blue, a boy really shouldn't wear pink. So I got Green and Blue ones sent to me instead.
I hope my mummy buys me some more soon. Preferably a Red pair because that's my favorite color.

Meet my half sister - By Gizmo

Our lives are back to normal now, Phew. Now I'd like to introduce you all to my much older, half sister 'Tiny'.



My mum got Tiny as a puppy in 1997 and called her Tiny because that's what she was. Tiny is at least twice as big as me though so it's kind of ironic. She's a Jack Russel X Chihuahua.

I have to be very gentle when I play with her and let her have lots of breaks because she is 11 human years old and gets tired very easily.
Here we are playing together.

It's such a shame the stuff for me as well as for mummy didn't arrive. Apparently they are a pet barrier to keep me safe, a sling for mummy to carry me around easier and a new igloo bed for me to sleep in.

We had a really great day and tomorrow night mummy gets taken out for dinner with all the family. I wonder if she'll take me too. I hope so!

Well it's been an exhausting day and tomorrow will be just as bad.
Mummy is going to the hairdresser in the morning (that's another one of her prezzies) And then the horse vet might be coming, in the arvo, to give Boaz a checkup and then out for dinner that night. Phew, I'm exhausted just thinking about it.
I'm gonna go take a nice, long nap.

Oh how I love my ball - By Gizmo

My ball Sweep is still my favorite toy. Mummy keeps taking him off me though because she says I'm obsessed with him. What does that mean anyway... obsessed?

I sometimes don't want to go outside to the toilet, even when I really need to go, because I don't want to stop playing with Sweep.
That's very bad I know but I can't help it. I just want to play and play with him all day long.

I recently found out where mummy has been hiding Sweep. She's hiding him upstairs in her bedroom.
Sometimes when mummy is really busy, I'll sneak upstairs and grab Sweep and bring him downstairs to play with him.

Does that mean I'm that word mummy says I am? Obsessed?

Spring has arrived - By Gizmo

YAY! Today is the first day of Spring and I'm so happy I could burst.
I overheard mummy talking on the phone and she said "Now that the weather's warming up she'll be taking me lot's of new and exciting places".
I can't wait!
I wonder when and where I'll get to go first.

I was so happy I went out into the garden and picked Mummy a flower to say that I love her and that I'm so glad it's Spring.
